The Responsibility of the Poster

As discussed in my Social Media class, when people post ANYTHING online, they have a certain responsibility that they’re held to. They must realize that as soon as they hit send, whatever content they just typed will now be exposed to an endless amount of individuals. It’s too late to take back anything after the button is pressed. It’s out there FOREVER!

Another thing to keep in mind is the content itself. Every person is different from the next, just as your post will be from the next person’s, so as hard as it may be, it’s best to avoid offending anyone. Clearly, it’s almost impossible to do that, so just as my professor says, “Back it up.” Make sure your criticism is legit! As a matter of fact, that should be the golden rule of web posting. Remember it and live by it, or else you may wake up tomorrow with regrets.
